Voice wavered quaveringly, half-spoken, half sung. Not unpleasant, Rodney thought. "I'm not going to talk about doubts and confusion, on a night when I can see with my eyes shut…"

Smug grin. "I've never been to Ayrshire, I hitched down one Saturday…"

"Sixty miles to Kilmarnock…"

Chorussed: "To see Hiberian play."

Carson blinked. "How the hell do you know that?"

McKay grinned, and hopped down off the bed. "Like I keep telling everyone, I'm a genius."
